I had seen numerous dermatologists &they all wanted to snip them off, which I was way too apprehensive to do on my eyes. The cryogenesis did burn a little, but was not too bad &Dr. Tirgan was very patient, kind & accommodating. My 1st visit was on Tuesday 3/1, today is Saturday 3/5 &already the scar on my cheek fell off and is healing, and the small skin tags on my eyes have fallen off, the medium &larger sized ones have all started to lose circulation &turn black. So far I am very happy with the process and cant wait to see the final results! I will definitely recommend Dr. Tirgan's services to anyone with skin tags in a sensitive area. -Denise C.

Aside from the normal redness, almost all of the spots on my legs have disappeared (and all of the tiny ones we did on my arms). So thank you so much for that! As a 39 year old male I felt embarrassed to seek out help because these skin tags are located on part of the body that we normally don't talk about. I also became very discouraged because I sought help from quite a few doctors and surgeons and each of them told me that these skin tags are harmless and it's not medically necessary to have them removed. Monte G. says: This letter is written from my heart referencing the extraordinary care, skill and personal effort put forth by Dr. Michael Tirgan in treating a 4th stage metastatic right breast cancer which manifested itself in my wife starting in October, 2009. Being a cancer research doctor, as well as treating a small patient base, keeps Dr. Tirgan on the cutting edge of cancer treatments. My wife’s cancer had metastasized to the liver, bone, and meninges by the time we started treatment with Dr. Tirgan. His devotion to her care and well-being, as well as his knowledge of the proper medicines to apply has been the reason for her progression on the road to recovery. Systemically, from the neck down, the cancer is almost completely under control, and his change to a new estrogen inhibitor which has the ability to penetrate the blood-brain barrier and the targeted radiation therapy has, hopefully, abated the cancer in the brain as well. Dr. Tirgan’s treatment was not without its setbacks: surgery for a broken femur following a fall led to multiple blood clots in both legs and a pulmonary embolism in her right lung. Subcutaneous injections twice a day for the next six months, minimum, as well as 10 days of Cipro (an antibiotic) to combat a possible kidney/bladder infection, forced Dr. Tirgan to place the cancer therapy on a back burner, temporarily, but did nothing to dampen his upbeat demeanor for Sheila and me. At no time did he ever show us anything but a positive attitude and a total commitment to her eventual complete recovery. We will know better in a few months, after a follow-up MRI of the brain whether she has completely recovered from the cancer, but, in any event, she is moving inexorably forward towards regaining her normal lifestyle, and my most sincere and heartfelt thanks, therefore, go to Dr. Michael Tirgan, who exemplifies what it means to wear the title: “DOCTOR.” He is truly a healer in every sense of the word.

Sandra P. Says: I first started going to Dr. Tirgan about a year ago. I just expected your usual hasty NYC doctor who has more important things to think about than you/your case. But Dr. Tirgan is more like if you went to see your uncle who was a doctor. His bedside manner is impeccable and he makes you feel very comfortable whilst simultaneously giving you his expert care and advice. Once I called to make an appointment and Dr. Tirgan himself answered the phone and was sincerely concerned about my problem--that is how committed he is! He seems to be always working. As I understand it, he works all day at Saint Luke's Hospital (or is it Columbia Presbyterian?) and then as if working all day at the hospital weren't enough, he treats patients in the evening! So he is obviously committed to his work. He is personable and down-to-earth. When you are with him he seems to really BE there; not distracted and only half there, and he seems to really want to do the best he can to help you. He also has a lovely family, and sometimes his son fills in when the secretary is sick--it's very homey. You are in good hands with Dr. Tirgan! I will continue going to him for various skin problems.

All is well, and you were right. It took roughly a week for the warts to

I originally went to see Dr. Tirgan over a month ago to consult with him about some skin legions that I was contemplating having removed. I had no idea what to expect and was not completely sure if I would end up seeking treatment. From the second that I stepped foot into Dr. Tirgan’s office, he did whatever he could to educate me and make me feel comfortable about the procedure. Because of his pleasant manner, genuine concern, and knowledge about all facets of treatment, I chose to have several spots removed that same day. I have already began to see great progress on those spots and have since then elected to have many more removed - even though I had not originally intended to do so – because I was so pleased, both with the results and with Dr. Tirgan himself.
I can honestly say that I have never met a more compassionate or accommodating physician (and I work in the healthcare field!). He is extremely professional but also genuinely wants to help people to see good results. After each procedure, Dr. Tirgan has sent me a personal email to check in and see how I am doing which I found to be so above and beyond what is normally expected of a treatment provider. He has also worked with me to make sure the treatment is affordable and convenient. I have been so pleased with my experience thus far and would highly recommend that anyone with skin concerns come see Dr. Tirgan - you will not be disappointed!

Sorry for the delayed response, I've been on vacation and today is my first day back.
The scabs fell off on Monday / Tuesday (about 2 weeks after the initial procedure). The are still slightly red and while the moles are still there I see a significantly noticeable improvement on all but one. I am definitely satisfied and plan on moving forward with additional treatments (again on my chest to further reduce the already treated moles) and have the procedure done on my back as well. I will go on your website this week and will set up another session for the first available time, hopefully next week.

So things seem to be progressing well. All of the scabs fell off by the end of last week. The small ones that were treated just left tiny pink dots behind. I don't know if they'll fade on their own or if they'll need to be retreated. The bigger ones look better than before but I'm sure they'll need to be treated again because there is definitely some darkness left behind. But overall, things look good. I feel like there will be really good progress soon...

I don't normally write
reviews, but felt compelled to write a review for Dr. Tirgan because he
is so amazing.
Dr. Tirgan is the most professional and caring doctors that I have had
the pleasure to meet, not only in New York City -- which is saying a lot
-- but in my entire life. He literally goes out of his way to make you
feel comfortable, to understand you, and to treat you. The first time I
called his office he personally answered and was genuinely interested in
my problem! How many doctors would you get such personal care from!? He
is literally above and beyond expectations. His bedside manner is
exceptional, and you feel totally cared for and completely comfortable
with him. Its like going to see a family member for treatment--that is
how attentive and present he is.
Not only is he caring and nurturing, and goes out of his way to help you
in whatever way he can, but his credentials are impressive and
impeccable. He works all of the time, as far as I can tell, and
continues to contribute his expertise to the Columbia University Medical
School.
He will also try to save you money as well in his treatment and
prescriptions if possible. Basically he is a doctor from Heaven, so take
advantage while he is still practicing. You are lucky to have found such
a caring and capable resource in Dr. Tirgan. I have his number in my
cell phone, and I will continue seeing him as long as I live in NYC.

It's going well. All of the scabs have fallen off, except for a bit
on my forehead. That bump definitely feels smaller though, which is
exciting!
The other ones are also lighter...the one on my neck is a bit
sensitive though. I think it will be interesting to see how they all
look after they heal because a lot of the former spots are now pink.
We should probably still wait a bit before doing any more
