Skin Growth Removal / Skin Tumor Treatment; One Patient at a Time.

consultation:

At my practice, care of every patient starts with a consultation.  During this initial consultation, I examine the area of the skin, or the spots you are concerned about; and advise you of treatment options and provide you with my recommendations.   Duration of consultation depends on the nature of condition that you are concerned about.   Some consultations are  short and some are lengthy, as we have to review and discuss various issues. 

Cost of medical services:

Our fees are based on the level and type of service that is provided for each patient.  We try to keep our fees very reasonable and competitive.  Besides the initial consultation fee, we charge a flat fee for therapeutic procedures.  Number of treatments needed to achieve desirable results will depend on the type, size and thickness of the skin condition or skin spots, etc.  Everyone's skin type and their spots are unique.  There is no scientific method to predict or determine how many treatments may be needed for a given type of skin spot.  Table below lists the average number of treatments that are usually needed to treat  and destroy each kind of skin spot. 

You can obtain an estimate of the cost for procedures by calling our office at 212 874 4200.  Keep in mind that you need to be examined in order to get an accurate pricing.

Cost of follow up:

Quite often, I ask patients to return for follow up.  When the follow up visit is short, and there is no need for re-treatment, I usually waive the charge for that visit.  When follow up occurs several weeks later, and when there is a need for re-treatment, we do charge a follow up fee in addition to the procedure fee.  Patients who require frequent treatments for the same condition receive a discount for the repeat procedures.

insurance plans we accept:

We do accept Aetna, Federal BCBS and few other non-HMO insurances for treatments and procedures and conditions that are not considered cosmetic by insurance companies, such as certain Keloids, Skin Biopsy,  assessment of a suspicious mole, skin cancer, etc.  For all other conditions  we will gladly provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance.

our insurance policy:

If we agree to accept your insurance for a medical procedure, we require you to pay 50% of our usual fees for the procedure and consultation.  You are also required to sign a credit card authorization form.  We will then submit a bill to your insurance and wait for them to reply. Once we receive a response or a payment from you insurance, we will settle the balances with you; at which time we either issue you a refund; or charge your credit card for the balance you owe.

We do not accept insurance if you have not met your deductible.  You will be required to make full payment and submit your payment receipt to your insurance.
